Hostanox® O 3

Hostanox® O 3 by Clariant is a bis[3,3-bis-(4’-hydroxy-3’-tert butylphenyl)butanoicacid]-glycol ester grade. It acts as a phenolic antioxidant and heat stabilizer. It provides long term heat stabilization to polyolefins (PP, HDPE, LLDPE), PA, ABS, styrenic polymers, polyesters, synthetic elastomers, and many other organic substrates especially for applications where the final article comes in contact with extractive media such as water, fat etc. It shows a high resistance to extraction. Hostanox® O 3 is broadly approved in plastics for food contact applications. In combination with sulphur containing co-stabilizers, such as Hostanox SE 10 and Hostanox SE 4, it leads to a pronounced synergistic effect. The minimum shelf life of the product is 3 years.
