B-Tough™ A3 by Cargill is an epoxy-based, reactive toughening agent. It offers impact strength to structural resins without impacting the hardness of the matrix. It is recommended for use in composites and solid type epoxy resins (medium polarity grade). It enhances durability by absorbing microcracks caused by aging and thermal shock. It protects substrates from moisture diffusion, extending lifetime of the substrate. B-Tough™ A3 exhibits improved adhesion after humid aging and excellent stability. The recommended dosage level of the elastomer phase is 5-25%.
