B-Tough™ A1 by Cargill is an epoxy functional, reactive toughening agent. It provides impact strength to structural resins without impacting the hardness of the matrix. It enhances durability by absorbing microcracks caused by aging and thermal shock. It protects substrates from moisture diffusion, extending the lifetime of the substrate. It provides excellent stability and improved adhesion after humid aging. B-Tough™ A1 is suitable for composites and liquid-type epoxy resins (lowest polarity grade). The recommended dosage level of the elastomer phase is between 5 and 25%.
