VULCAN® XC72R by Cabot is a specialty carbon black. It is a fluffy form of Cabot’s VULCAN® XC72 conductive carbon black. It offers unique properties, which allow end products to deliver functionality at relatively lower loading levels compared to Cabot’s other carbon blacks in the XC family. It provides very good conductivity at relatively low loading levels. It exhibits excellent chemical and physical cleanliness, good processability, low sulfur content, ionic contamination and high level of jetness. It imparts easy dispersion to promote surface smoothness and preserve the mechanical performance of the polymer. VULCAN® XC72R is used in power storage, including batteries and fuel cells, conductive paper, conductive liquid dispersions and catalyst support.
