VULCAN® XC605 by Cabot is specialty carbon black. It is recommended for use in electrostatic dissipation (ESD) and conductive plastic applications that require protection against static discharge in safety, electronics packaging. It is designed to deliver key performance requirements for ESD applications. It has the potential for a full range of conductivity performance depending on the loading level. It offers low sulfur, low grit and superior dispersibility to promote surface smoothness and preserve the mechanical properties of the polymer. It finds application in IC carrier tapes, trays, boxes, pouches and ESD corrugated boards. VULCAN® XC605 is also applicable in safety packaging for hazardous goods and applications in explosive areas.
