SCONA TPPL 5112 PA

SCONA TPPL 5112 PA by BYK acts as a coupling agent in filler- and fiber-reinforced polylactic acid compounds to achieve excellent adhesion to the matrix. It is an outstanding compatibilizer for polymer blends made of polylactic acid and other polymers, including some bio-based polymers such as polybutylene succinate (PBS) or polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT). It also acts as a dispersion agent.

• It is a high-performance polymer modifier based on a polylactic acid (PLA) functionalized with maleic anhydride.
• It improves mechanical and optical properties of the composite material.
• The excellent flowability of the additive also guarantees good fiber wetting.
• Recommended dosage level is 5-30% as compatibilizer, 2-6% as coupling agent and 2-6% as dispersion agent.
• Complies with REACH and EU No. 10/2011.
• Shelf life of SCONA TPPL 5112 PA is 36 months.
