SCONA TPPL 1112 PA

SCONA TPPL 1112 PA by BYK is a bio-based coupling agent for filler- and fiber-reinforced polylactic acid compounds to achieve excellent adhesion to the matrix. It is an outstanding compatibilizer for polymer blends made of polylactic acid and other polymers, including some bio-based polymers such as polybutylene succinate (PBS) or polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT). It also acts as a dispersing agent.

• It improves the optical and mechanical properties and the processability of the composite material.
• It is especially suitable for PLA compounds to which wood flour or natural fibers are added.
• Recommended dosage level is 2-6% as a coupling agent, 5-30% as a compatibilizer and 2-6% as a dispersing aid.
• Complies with REACH, EU No. 10/2011 and German BfR Rec. XIV.
• Shelf life of SCONA TPPL 1112 PA is 36 months.
