AQUACER® 581

AQUACER® 581 by BYK is a non-ionic emulsion of carnauba wax containing water as a carrier. It is used as an anti-caking additive for the underwater granulation of thermoplastic synthetic materials. It forms a protective coating around the granules to create non-sticky and free-flowing granulates. It is required in much lower quantities so that the properties of the thermoplastics are not affected. It also prevents the formation of dust during processing. AQUACER® 581 complies with REACH, EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It is listed with Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU-Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging waste), CONEG Toxics in Packaging and EU Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS 2). Recommended dosage level is 0.2-5% additive (as supplied) in the circulation water. It has a shelf life of 15 months.
