BUDIT® 667 by Budenheim is a halogen-free flame retardant. It is a white, stable powder which decomposes at temperatures above 280 °C. It contains a high phosphate and nitrogen content.
- When subjected to heat, polymers containing BUDIT® 667 form a protective layer, preventing the access of oxygen to the substrate.
- This also prevents further polymer combustion and flame propagation.
- It can be used in formulation with a wide range of inert filler materials, such as glass fibers and TiO2.
