Polymer of dimethyl succinate and 4-hydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1 piperidine ethanol. Acts as a polymeric hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) of N-R type that protects polymers from degradation due to ultraviolet radiation and long term heat aging. Has excellent hot processing stability and terrific compatibility with resin, satistying extractibility against water, extreme low volatility as well as migratory. Can be applied to PE,PP, polystyrene, ABS, polyurethane and polyamide etc, optimum effects are obtained when used with antioxidants and UV-absorbers. It is one of the light stabilizers that are sanctioned by FDA to be used in food packages.
