Irganox® B 225

Irganox® B 225 by BASF is a processing and long-term thermal stabilizer system. It is a synergistic blend of Irgafos® 168 and Irganox® 1010. It maintains original melt flow and offers low color formation along with long-term-thermal stability. Irgafos® 168, an organic phosphite of low volatility and particularly resistant to hydrolysis, protects the polymers which are prone to oxidation. Irganox® 1010, a hindered phenolic antioxidant, contributes synergistically to polymer stabilization during processing and prevents thermo-oxidative degradation. Irganox® B 225 is suitable for polyolefin & olefin copolymers, styrene homo- and copolymers as well as ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers applications. Also used in polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene, engineering plastics and polyurethanes. Recommended dosage level for polyolefin is 0.1-0.25%.
