avanZnO bac

avanZnO bac by Avanzare Innovacion Tecnologica is a powerful anti-microbial agent. It is based on ZnO functionalized particles together with zinc pyrithione and piridine-2-thiol 1- oxide, sodium salt. It is a solid format solution that is active substance solid dispersion in a calcium carbonate and ZnO matrix. In silver+ version these two substances are doped with silver ions. It is highly efficient in bactericide and fungi elimination. As it this solution does not migrate to the surface, it does not lose activity over the time. It is thermally stable upto 225 ºC and is suitable for extrusion process below this temperature. avanZnO bac is capable of tolerating up to 20 washes without losing its properties in resins. Its insolubility in an aqueous/organic medium makes it especially appropriate for its introduction as an additive in PVC, silicone, rubber, thermoplastic and thermoset matrices in addition to be dispersible in organic resins. Recommended dosage level is 0.1-0.2%. Comply with the European Union Directive (CE) NO 1048/2005 of 13th June 2005 and the Directive (CE) nº 528/2012, that regulate biocide application in the industry.
