CO2nverge Polyol CPX-2012-56 by Aether Industries is an innovative, high performance polyol for a variety of polyurethane systems. It is an amorphous, hydroxyl terminated diol produced from propylene oxide and carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide accounts for approximately 40% of the polyol mass.
- It is used in the preparation of elastomers.
- It can improve hydrolytic stability, UV resistance, mechanical strength and toughness.
- Formulations using CO2nverge Polyol CPX-2012-56 will provide adhesives with superior strength on a variety of substrates including PVC, wood, polycarbonate, and aluminum.
- It shows excellent compatibility with polyester polyols and low to moderate compatibility with polyether polyol.
- It is compatible with isocyanates, chain extenders, surfactants and catalysts used in standard polyurethane systems.
