Additives for Liquid System for Plastic Compounds

Gardobond® Additive H 7488 distributed by DKSH is an additive used as wetting agent during the PET recycling process. It is based on a special blend of surfactants with a high wetting power and a high affinity with plastic material.

• It is able to lower the solid-liquid surface tension and to optimize the floating process between PET and PE/HDPE.
• In this way any air bubbles deposited on flake surface are removed allowing the complete wetting of the substrate.
• It possesses the ability to inhibit foaming and can be used in a wide range of temperature.

Addovate® 390 by LANXESS is a non-hydrolyzable silicone stabilizer for the production of PUR rigid foam. It is a very versatile stabilizer of medium to high activity with additional excellent emulsifying properties. The reduction of cell defects and reliable stabilization can be achieved in both slow and fast systems. It can also act as a blowing agent. It finds application in insulations of appliances, pipe insulations, continuously or discontinuously produced panels and cavity foaming. Recommended dosage level is 2 parts by weight on 100 parts by weight polyol. Addovate® 390 has a shelf life of 12 months.

Addovate® TX by LANXESS is an ionic emulsifier or stabilizer for the production of PUR ester flexible slab-stock foam. It is used in combination with Addovate® TX to achieve good foaming control resulting in fine cell structure. Recommended dosage level is 1-3 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight polyester polyol. It has a shelf life of 12 months.

Addovate® WM by Lanxess is a non-ionic dispersant or emulsifier for the production of PUR ester flexible slab-stock foam. It is used in combination with Addovate® SM. It is designed to homogeneously disperse water, water-insoluble catalysts and paraffin oil in the activator batch and to aid the mixing of reaction components in the mixing chamber. Recommended dosage level is 1-2 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight polyester polyol. It has a shelf life of 24 months.

Addovate® SM is an aqueous solution of fatty acid sulfonate. Acts as an emulsifier/stabilizer for the production of polyurethane polyester flexible slabstock foam, rigid foam as well as a crosslinker for cellular hot casting elastomers. Is used in an aqueous catalyst compound in conjunction with Addocat® DB, Addovate® WM and paraffin oil. It improves the dispersion characteristics of the individual catalyst and reactant components in the mixing chamber. It primarily keeps the crosslinking reaction under control. It also has a stabilizing effect during the foaming phase. It has a shelf life of 6 months.

Addovate®3240 is polyglycol ester. Acts as a specialty emulsifier for the urea catalysis used to obtain low odor polyurethane polyester slabstock foam. Since it is only partially miscible with water, it is recommended to add it separately. Dosage should be between 1.0 and 2.5 pbw Addovate®3240 to 100 pbw polyester polyol. It has a shelf life of 12 months.

Uniplex 80 by LANXESS is a light-fast citric acid ester plasticizer and solvent exhibiting good compatibility with a wide range of polymers, including cellulosic (films, food wraps, cigarette filter), acrylics and polylactides. It does not promote fungal growth. It includes anti-corrosion properties in the application of lube additives. It has a shelf life of 1 year.

Vikoflex® 4050 Epoxidized Vegetable Oil by Cargill is a low temperature octyl epoxy ester plasticizer. It also acts as a wetting agent and acid neutralizer. It provides improved heat and light stability in vinyl formulations.

• It offers high oxirane oxygen content and low viscosity.
• It has good color and low odor.
• It is mainly used in plastisols and organosols, flexible, semi-flexible & rigid PVC formulations, rotation castings, slush moldings, dip compounds and calendaring films.
• It has a shelf life of 36 months

HORDAMER® PE 02 by BYK is a wetting and dispersing agent for thermoplastic color masterbatches. It is a primary polyethylene dispersion containing an anionic emulsifier. It is used in the underwater pelletizing of thermoplastic granulated material (TPE, TPU, EVA) and forms a protective layer covering the granules, thereby generating non-sticking and free-flowing granulated materials. Recommended dosage level is 0.2-5% additive (as supplied) based upon the amount of water in the cooling circuit. HORDAMER® PE 02 is listed in REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It complies with EU Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS 2), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste), CONEG Toxics in Packaging, Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 , USA 21 CFR 177.1520 ‘Olefin polymers’ and China GB9685-2016, table A.1 ‘Plastics’. It has a shelf life of 15 months.

PALMESTER 5400 by KLK OLEO is a biodegradable, fatty ester derived from renewable vegetable oils. It acts as a lubricant, viscosity modifier, plasticizer for polymer. Used in internal & external automotive, transportation, appliances, electrical market, household products and consumer goods.
