Perstorp Expands C8-C10 Oxo Alcohol Portfolio with New Additions

completes its offer of C8-C10 Oxo Alcohols, by introducing Isononanol (INA), IsoDodecene and Oxo Oil 9N to the product portfolio. The new complete offer is made possible by utilizing synergies with Perstorp parent company PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG), one of the integrated chemicals producers in Southeast Asia and part of the PETRONAS Group.
Strengthening Presence in Asia-Pacific Plasticizers Market
The plant has been operational since early August. The new additions to the product portfolio are available to order and will be manufactured by PETRONAS Chemicals Isononanol Sdn Bhd (PC INA) at the Pengerang Integrated Complex in Malaysia.
'These new products complete our product offer of C8-C10 Oxo Alcohols for customers in the Asia Pacific plasticizers industry, increasing our relevance and creating a more substantial presence for Perstorp. While for the customers in Malaysia, PCG's marketing arm, PETRONAS Chemicals Marketing (Labuan) Ltd. (PCML) will oversee the product distribution,' says Betty Lu, Perstorp's vice president Business Oxo & Plasticizers.
'This is the first opportunity for customers to take advantage of our combined strengths and expertise within Perstorp and PCG. It demonstrates our ambition to present ourselves to customers as an integrated solutions provider,' says Gorm Jensen, Perstorp's executive vice president Commercial & Innovation.
The new portfolio additions further strengthen Perstorp's strategic commitment in the Asian market, beyond a recently invested state-of-the-art Penta plant in India.
