LyondellBasell completes sale of European olefins and polyolefins assets to AEQUITA

LyondellBasell has completed the sale of selected European olefins and polyolefins assets, along with associated business and corporate functions, to AEQUITA. 

The transaction is part of LyondellBasell’s broader strategic assessment of its European operations and follows the completion of employee information and consultation processes, as well as customary regulatory and closing conditions.

Following this closing, the divested business will be named and operated as Velogy.

LYB retains Specialty Polymers and Circular Solutions activities in Europe

For formulators working with these product lines, the operational transition is now underway. The sites concerned are Berre, Münchsmünster, Carrington, and Tarragona, have transferred to Velogy as a standalone business under AEQUITA ownership.
