Access to standard and custom-engineered formulations

The company said the review identified increasing demand for local availability, technical support and faster access to masterbatch and custom performance color solutions in regions where LYB has a smaller market presence. LYB said the agreement builds on its existing partnership with Interpolimeri across Italy, Slovenia and Iberia.

The expansion of the partnership with Interpolimeri reflects both current momentum and a shared ambition to grow in Europe’s most important plastics markets,” said Frank Noeltgen, vice president of Advanced Polymer Solutions Europe at LYB. “Germany and Austria represent significant growth opportunities, and Interpolimeri’s market knowledge and customer reach make the company an ideal partner.”

The companies said they plan to establish commercial and operational frameworks over the coming months to support distribution through direct and indirect channels in Germany and Austria.

We are pleased to expand the collaboration with LYB and introduce LYB masterbatch and custom performance color solutions to customers in Germany and Austria,” said Claudio Gallo, CEO of Interpolimeri. “The LYB portfolio combines consistent quality, strong technical performance and customization capabilities that align well with the needs of converters and brand owners. This partnership allows customers to benefit from greater choice, local support and faster access to solutions that support innovation and differentiation.

According to LYB, its portfolio includes color, additive and functional masterbatches designed to address performance, regulatory and aesthetic requirements. Through Interpolimeri, customers will have access to standard and custom-engineered formulations compatible with a range of resins and processing technologies.

The companies highlighted several portfolio attributes, including:

  • Custom performance colors designed to support color matching and consistency for brand differentiation.

  • Functional additive masterbatches intended to enhance UV, heat, antistatic and processing performance.

  • Solutions developed to support recyclability and compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
