ITA Polymers expands plastics materials offering through eight-company network
Last update on May 11, 2026
Formulators working on plastics applications can now evaluate a broader range of additives, flame retardants, masterbatches, compounds, thermoplastic elastomers and recycled polymers through ITA Polymers, a network bringing together eight Italian companies: Celloplast, DIAP, GF Plast, Greenchemicals, MIFE, Pick Up, Polichem and Seta Polymers.
According to the companies, the network structure allows each member to retain its own identity while combining technical expertise and product portfolios under a shared brand.

Targeting multiple plastics processing applications
“We'd had the idea of creating a network of companies for some time, partly because we already had close relationships with the members, and it was a question of giving continuity and structure to these collaborations,” explains Micaela Lorenzi, CEO of Greenchemicals and Polichem. “Creating a network, whilst each entity retains its own identity, allows us to present ourselves nationally and internationally as a single brand, capable of responding effectively to the needs of manufacturers in the sector. Through cooperation and the combination of different specializations, we will be able to provide rapid, tailor-made solutions”.
The network reports combined production volumes of more than 50,000 tons of compounds, 15,000 tons of masterbatches and 5,000 tons of powders and compacts. The portfolio includes plastic additives, halogen-free and halogenated flame retardants, additive and color masterbatches, technical compounds, recycled compounds, recycled polymers, thermoplastic and functionalized polymers, compatibilizers and impact modifiers.
“The heart of Italian manufacturing consists mainly of small, often family-run, businesses. This results in consistently high product quality and excellent customer service. However, when it comes to competing internationally, this type of enterprise has a number of limitations. The ITA Polymers business network provides a solution to this, combining the strengths of a large team with the benefits of a small business,” says Lorenzo Riello, CEO of Seta Polymers.
According to ITA Polymers, these materials are available in multiple physical forms, including powders, masterbatches, granules, liquids and compacts, for extrusion and molding applications across packaging, automotive, construction and electronics.
“GF Plast has decided to join the network because it recognizes its added value. Sharing information and market strategies and taking part in international trade fairs strengthens us all and puts us in a more effective strategic position than we would have had as individuals. We are excited to be part of this new venture and can’t wait to present ourselves together at PLAST 2026,” says Andrea Fontana, CEO of GF Plast.
The network will present its joint offering for the first time at PLAST 2026 (9-12 June) in Milan through a shared stand with Greenchemicals in Hall 9 (booth B100–B104).
“We chose to join ITA Polymers because we firmly believe that the most significant results stem from the coming together of skilled individuals, solid companies and visions that enrich one another,” says Michele Preto Martini, CEO of MIFE. “A network can offer something that an individual cannot achieve with the same impact: the opportunity to transform everyone’s individual value into a shared, broader and stronger driving force”.
