Gerresheimer announced a partnership with Milliken & Company to support the use of Lenex™ UltraGuard®, Milliken’s advanced additive technology designed to enhance polymer performance, protection, and processing efficiency for demanding pharmaceutical applications.
The partnership builds on the successful collaboration between Bormioli Pharma S.p.A., a Gerresheimer company, and Milliken, delivering a high-value solution to a leading global pharmaceutical customer.

Supporting up to 40% improved moisture barrier performance
Through this partnership, Gerresheimer is leveraging LeneX™ UltraGuard® technology to help meet the stringent performance, safety, and quality requirements of pharmaceutical companies, supporting high‑value packaging applications where durability, consistency, and reliability are critical.
LeneX™ UltraGuard® technology supports up to 40% improved moisture barrier performance in HDPE packaging, enabling downgauging while maintaining the protection standards required for pharmaceutical use. LeneX™ UltraGuard® is engineered to improve polymer performance while maintaining processing efficiency, helping manufacturers balance protection, productivity, and quality at scale.
By enabling material reduction and simplified packaging designs, the collaboration also supports broader sustainability goals without compromising performance. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment by Milliken and Gerresheimer to deliver materials solutions that respond to evolving customer expectations in regulated, high‑performance markets.
