Birla Carbon showcases innovative and sustainable carbon-based materials at K 2025
Last update on Oct 8, 2025
Birla Carbon is participating in K 2025 in Düsseldorf, Germany, from October 8–15, 2025.
The Birla Carbon team will be at Hall 8A, Booth J29, presenting its portfolio of innovative and sustainable carbon materials offered through Conductex™ carbon blacks, Raven™ carbon blacks, Continua™ SCM, and Nanocyl™ CNTs.
Enabling circularity with carbon-based materials
Birla Carbon at K 2025 will highlight its four leading brands for the Plastics and Rubber industries:
Conductex – A portfolio of advanced conductive carbon blacks, engineered to extend the service life of wires and cables through UV-resistant jacketing, conductive insulation, and shielding applications. The portfolio also includes newly launched carbon black–CNT hybrids, designed for the highest levels of conductivity in cutting-edge applications.
- Raven® – A versatile range designed for superior dispersibility, deep jetness, durability, and performance, with applications including pressure pipes and non-conductive, low-tinting formulations.
- Continua™ SCM: A range of high-quality sustainable solutions developed at scale with technical expertise, consistent quality, and global reach to enhance product sustainability and circularity.
- Nanocyl™ – A leading range of Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs), with products like NC7000™, delivering high electrical conductivity in all polymers; and PLASTICYL™ – highly conductive thermoplastic concentrates (10–20 wt%) for a wide range of polymers (PA, PC, PE, PP, POM, TPU).
Speaking about the participation, John Davidson, chief sales, marketing, & sustainability officer, Birla Carbon, said, “The world of materials science is at an inflection point where innovation cannot be separated from sustainability in driving long-term growth. At Birla Carbon, we see this not as a challenge but as an opportunity that aligns closely with our growth strategy, which emphasizes both innovation and sustainability. K 2025 provides the ideal platform for us to showcase our portfolio of innovative solutions that enable performance in plastics, rubber, wires, and coatings while accelerating the transition to a circular, low-carbon future across the value chains we serve.”
He further added, “Guided by our purpose, ‘Share the Strength’, sustainability is embedded into every aspect of how we operate, innovate, and collaborate. With our deep technical expertise and innovation capabilities, we continue to expand the possibilities of carbon-based solutions for the plastics and rubber industries, combining high performance with sustainability to shape the future of materials science.”
K 2025 will serve as a platform for Birla Carbon to engage with the global plastics and rubber industries, share its vision for sustainable materials, and gain insights into emerging innovations shaping the future of the sector.
