BASF to showcase petrochemical and process technology portfolio at CIPPE 2026

BASF is exhibiting for the first time at the China International Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE) in the Shanghai New International Expo Center from June 9 to 11, 2026, at Booth E1020, Hall E1.

BASF to showcase four areas of expertise tailored to the Chinese market: Petrochemicals and intermediates technology licensing, chemical catalysts and adsorbents with high-performance catalysts lowering emissions, and customized high-pressure equipment.

Enhancing process efficiency with improved product quality

BASF is going to present selected solutions from its chemical catalysts and adsorbents portfolio, designed to support petroleum and petrochemical operations through enhanced process efficiency, improved product quality and reliable performance:

 

  • Advanced hydrogenation catalysts: BASF’s C3, C4 and pygas hydrogenation catalysts deliver stable yields, high efficiency and flexible feedstock adaptability.

     

  • Sacrificial, regenerable and catalytic purification solutions with Selexsorb®, Puristar® and Prosorb® for the petrochemical and petroleum industries.

     

  • Sustainable gas treatment catalyst: DeNOx, VOCat and DeN2O for maintaining environmental compliance and achieving carbon footprint targets.

 

BASF presents its petrochemicals and intermediates technologies as an option for investment projects. The technologies have been developed and refined through ongoing process improvements and operational experience over several decades. The integrated solutions available for licensing are:

 

  • SYNCRA™ process technologies include oxo‑C3, oxo‑C4, high‑purity isobutene, isooctenes, oxo‑C9 and methacrylic acid

     

  • Polytetrahydrofuran (PolyTHF®) 1800 technology for the spandex industry, including the 1,4-butanediol (BDO)-to-tetrahydrofuran (THF) step

     

  • Methylamines technology

     

  • Formic acid technology

     

  • OASE® gas treatment technologies

 

BASF’s high-pressure equipment for pressures up to 3,600 bar:

Presentation at the Industry Forum

 

In addition to showcasing its portfolio at the exhibition booth, BASF will also participate in the Industry Forum. Shahab Taebi, Global Technology Licensing Director, Petrochemicals Division, will present BASF’s integrated solutions to support efficient and reliable operations in the chemical industry on June 9.
