BASF is increasing prices on its commodity amines portfolio in Europe by up to 30%, with certain products subject to higher increase, effective immediately or as existing contracts permit.
Geopolitical tensions driving cost escalation
This portfolio comprises Ethanolamines, Ethyleneamines, Isopropanolamines, Methylamines, N,N-Dimethylethanolamine, (DMEOA), 3-(Dimethylamino) propylamine (DMAPA), Dimethylformamide (DMF), Propylamines and Ethylamines.
These price increases are in response to the substantial increases in raw material prices, energy and logistic costs due to the military conflict in the Middle East.
