Texin® thermoplastic polyurethanes by Covestro are designed to bridge the gap between rubber and plastics. Grades are available from very soft and flexible to very rigid. Many grades comply with FDA food-contact regulations and several meet the biocompatibility requirements of FDA-modified ISO 10993-1 tests. Typical uses include caster wheels, power tools, sporting goods, medical devices, and a variety of extruded film, sheet and profile applications.
Texin® RxT70A by Covestro is a biocompatible aromatic polyether-based thermoplastic
polyurethane (TPU). It provides high moisture vapor transmission rate and is plasticizer free. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;">
<li> It exhibits very good hydrolysis, good low temperature flexibility, resiliency and impact strength. </li>
<li> Texin® RxT70A is designed for catheters, catheter balloons, specialty tubing, profiles, connectors and soft overmolding applications. </li>
<li> It is suitable for processing by injection molding or extrusion. </li>
<li> Texin® RxT70A meets with the requirements of the FDA-modified ISO 10993, Part 1 "Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices" tests with human tissue contact time of 30 days or less. </li></ul> Texin® 770A by Covestro is a plasticizer free, aromatic, polyether-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade. It offers very good hydrolysis resistance, good low temperature flexibility, resiliency, impact strength and high moisture vapor transmission rate. It is processed by injection molding or extrusion. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;">
<li> It is designed for soft touch over-molding, roof linings, seals, membranes, films, rigid/flexible composite systems and sport shoe soles. </li>
<li> Texin® 770A complies with FDA regulations 21 CFR 177.1680 and 177.2600. </li></ul> Texin® RxT80A by Covestro is an aromatic polyether-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with excellent hydrolytic stability. It offers biocompatibility, outstanding abrasion resistance, impact strength, toughness and flexibility. It is suitable for processing by injection molding or extrusion. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;">
<li> It is designed for anesthetic connectors, catheters, flexible tubing, film, seals and gaskets and extruded profiles. </li>
<li> Texin® RxT80A meets with the requirements of the FDA-modified ISO 10993, Part 1 "Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices" tests with human tissue contact time of 30 days or less. </li></ul> Texin® 990A by Covestro is polyether-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade. It offers excellent inherent resistance to saltwater stress cracking, and hydrolysis. It is suitable for processing by injection molding, extrusion and blow molding. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;">
<li> It exhibits outstanding abrasion resistance, impact strength, toughness, and flexibility. </li>
<li> It is used in belting, hose, seals and gaskets, tubing, cable & hose jackets, athletic soles, casters, film, extruded profiles, and miscellaneous molded articles. </li>
<li> It is listed under NSF standard 61 for use in potable water applications. </li>
<li> Texin® 990A complies with FDA regulations 21 CFR 177.1680 and 21 CFR 177.2600. </li></ul> Texin® 785A by Covestro is an aromatic polyether-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade. It offers excellent hydrolytic stability, microbial resistance, abrasion resistance, resilience, low temperature flexibility, toughness, and impact strength. It is processed by injection molding. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;">
<li> It can be used for soft touch overmolding applications requiring excellent grip. </li>
<li> Texin® 785A is designed for sport shoes, golf discs, skiing, and other cold weather components. </li></ul> Texin® 255D by Covestro is polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethane. It offers excellent fuel- & oil resistance as well as outstanding abrasion resistance, impact strength, toughness and flexibility. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;">
<li>It is suitable for processing by injection molding.</li>
<li> It is recommended for top-lifts, seals, gaskets, sleeves, casters, and gears. </li>
<li> Texin® 255D complies with FDA regulations 21 CFR 177.1680 & 21 CFR 177.2600 and TSCA. </li></ul> Texin® 245D by Covestro is an aromatic, polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethane grade. It offers flexibility, wear-, chemical-, tear- & scratch resistance. It is suitable for processing by injection molding. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;">
<li> It shows excellent low-temperature properties, excellent fuel-, and oil resistance. </li>
