Provides high viscosity, toughness, low-temperature impact strength, glass-like transparency, good metallization and high dimensional accuracy and stability. Exhibits good electrical properties, impact resistance, high heat resistance (between 158°C and 203°C) and good resistance to saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, dilute mineral acids, and both neutral and acid salt solutions. Apec® 1745 RE is ISCC PLUS certified and meets the criteria of US Pharmacopeia (USP) Class VI. Apec® 2095 by Covestro is a heat resistant polycarbonate (PC) grade with easy release. It offers easy flow and high viscosity. It is suitable for processing by injection molding. Apec® 2095 is recommended for covers for brake lights & indicator lights, recessed light fixtures/reflectors, blade-type fuses and headlamp.
