OPPANOL® B 150 by BASF is a soft, mechanically stable, high molecular weight, non-polar, anti-corrosive polyisobutylene grade. Soluble in aliphatic, aromatic, cyclic and halogenated hydrocarbons. Offers long-term effective moisture protection. Exhibits low-temperature elasticity, no skin irritation, good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces, flexibility at low temperatures and electrical insulation. Provides chemical inertness, good resistance to oxidative attack, water vapor barrier and tack (stickiness). Can be processed by kneaders, roll-mills and single- or twin-screw extruders.
