Neopor®

Plastics and elastomers supplied by BASF
Neopor® by BASF are graphite polystyrene (GPS) rigid foam insulation used in building and construction. They are majorily in silver-grey color comprised of many small pockets of air within a polymer matrix containing graphite. This graphite reflects back the radiant heat energy, thus increasing the material's resistance to the heat flow.

Key benefits of Neopor® brand include:

  • Reduces the risk of mold, rot, and structural damage associated with moisture
  • Gives maximum efficiency
  • Cost-effective
  • Maintains sustainability

Neopor® F 2300

by BASF

Neopor® F 2300 by BASF is a firm, flame-retarded, expandable polystyrene (EPS) grade reinforced with loose filling and 5.3% pentane content. It is produced by polymerization and exhibits good processability, low density, resistance to aging-, water- and decay. Offers good thermal insulation, excellent versatility, high eco- and cost-efficiency. Designed for processing by foams in three steps- pre-expansion, intermediate storage and expansion stages. During the pre-expansion stage, the compact raw material is transformed into closed-cell foam which is characterized by low energy consumption and short cycle times. After an appropriate intermediate storage time, EPS is expanded in conventional block molds to make foams. Typical applications of Neopor® F 2300 include flat roof-, cavity wall-, attic-, ceiling-, steep roof- and exterior insulation (ETICS).

Neopor® F 4 speed

by BASF

Neopor® F 4 speed by BASF is a firm, flame retardant, expandable polystyrene (EPS) block molding grade characterized by silver gray color. It is reinforced with 5.3% pentane content and it is produced by polymerization. Exhibits good processability, low close density distribution, water-repellent, resistant to aging- and decay. Offers good thermal insulation performance, excellent versatility, high eco- and cost-efficiency. Designed for processing by foams in three steps- pre-expansion, intermediate storage and expansion stages.
