3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic THV 500GZ by 3M is a melt-processable fluorothermoplastic containing tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride. It shows good chemical resistance, low temperature processability, optical clarity and light transmission. Provides high transparency, high flexibility, bondability to itself and other substrates (for multi-layer constructions), low flammability, excellent performance with respect to dynamic testing and permeation resistance to fuels. Possesses excellent weatherability, thermal stability, UV stability, good anti-soiling properties and low refractive index. 3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroplastic THV 500GZ is suitable for processing by extrusion and injection molding. Processing profile allows co-processing with olefinic plastics and hydrocarbon elastomers. Used in extruded films, tubes, profiles, wire coatings and as a barrier layer in automotive fuel hoses and seals in chemical containment to protective layers in photovoltaic backsheets.

Provides good surface quality of molded articles, excellent chemical inertness, low friction behavior, good flame retardance, exceptional temperature resistance and reduced molding pressure. 3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE Granules TF 1620 exhibits good electrical and mechanical properties. Used in large compression molded sheets, iso-statically molded articles, shaped parts, thinner wall articles (like bellows etc.) and for skived films of > 200 µm. Meets ASTM D 4894 Type IV, Grade 2 classification.
