EUROPRENE® 1789 by Versalis (Eni Group) is a general purpose, emulsion styrene-butadiene copolymer (ESBR) rubber obtained by cold polymerization using a mixture of rosin acid and fatty acid soaps as emulsifiers. A non-staining antioxidant is added during the production process. It exhibits good processability, mechanical properties and abrasion resistance. It shows limited resistance to oil and weather. It is a medium bound styrene copolymer extended with residual aromatic (RAE) oil. It is free from nitrosating agents, pre-formed nitrosamines and nitrosable substances. EUROPRENE® 1789 is suitable for tire tread and outdoor applications. It complies with UNI EN ISO 14001, BS OHSAS18001 and UNI EN ISO 9001 standards. The shelf life is 18 months.
