TOPAS® 9506F-500 by Topas Advanced Polymers (Polyplastics) is an amorphous ethylene-cyclic olefin copolymer (COC). This clear, amorphous ethylene-cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) food grade resin enhances polyethylene packaging film performance.
- It has low Tg for applications such as shrink films and labels, and sealant films.
- Exhibits properties including barrier (moisture, nitrogen), stiffness, shrinkage, easy and linear tear, thermoformability and curl control.
- It enables the development of higher value films on standard PE film lines.
- Films containing this product generally can be reclaimed and recycled with PE.
- It can be processed by film extrusion with improved processing behavior and can be used in multi-layer films as a discrete layer or in blends with PE.
- TOPAS® 9506F-500 complies with FDA directive 21 CFR 177.1520 for direct food contact.
