ELVALOY™ 5170 Copolymer

Supplied byDow- Last Updated on Jul 24, 2024

ELVALOY™ 5170 Copolymer by Dow is a reactive elastomeric terpolymer (RET) that can be used to modify the properties of asphalt used in paving. It provides exceptional rutting resistance, great fatigue cracking protection and hot/cold temperature performance. It delivers high temperature SHRP properties and low temperature flexibility that is locked into asphalt binders.
  • It has inherent stripping resistance and can be easily blended into the hot binder, no high sheer mill required.
  • It has short mixing time (2-3 hrs) and can be stored for several months, eliminating any potential polymer waste.
  • It is used in asphalt modification for roads, airports, highways with different traffic, and weather conditions.
  • ELVALOY™ 5170 Copolymer complies with TSCA, EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS), EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE), EN 71-3 and conforms to CONEG, EU 94/62/EC.
