OPPANOL® B 80 by BASF is a soft, mechanically stable, high molecular weight, non-polar, anti-corrosive polyisobutylene. Soluble in aliphatic, aromatic, cyclic and halogenated hydrocarbons. Exhibits low-temperature elasticity, no skin irritation, good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces, flexibility at low temperatures and electrical insulation. Offers long-term effective moisture protection. Provides chemical inertness, good resistance to oxidative attack, water vapor barrier, tack (stickiness), good quality, certainty, dependability and effectiveness. Can be processed by kneaders, roll-mills and single- or twin-screw extruders. Meets the requirements of food contact regulations. Complies with REACH EC Regulation 1907/ 2006. OPPANOL® B 80 has a shelf life of 2 years.
