OPPANOL® B 100

OPPANOL® B 100 by BASF is a non-polar, high molecular weight polyisobutylene. It exhibits low-temperature elasticity, no skin irritation, good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces, flexibility at low temperatures and electrical insulation. It is an anti-corrosive, soft and mechanically stable grade. It is soluble in aliphatic, aromatic, cyclic and halogenated hydrocarbons. It offers long-term effective moisture protection. It can be processed by kneaders, roll-mills and single or twin-screw extruders. It provides chemical inertness, good resistance to oxidative attack, water vapor barrier and tack (stickiness). OPPANOL® B 100 is recommended for roofing applications. Meets the requirements of food contact regulations. Complies with REACH EC Regulation 1907/ 2006. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
