Vinyl Ester Resin (VE) for Plastic Parts

Quantum AMC® 8593 HT by LyondellBasell is a 3K PAN carbon fiber reinforced, vinyl ester hybrid composite sheet molding compound. It can be molded at temperatures in the range of 260-310°F, with 280°F suggested as a starting point. This grade exhibits fatigue resistance, high stiffness and high strength. Its cure time depends on molding temperature and part thickness. Quantum AMC® 8593 HT has a shelf life of 2 months.

Quantum QC® 8700 by LyondellBasell is a vinyl ester hybrid composite, reinforced with 63% w/w E-glass fiber. It shows fatigue resistance, high stiffness and high strength. Its cure time depends on molding temperature and part thickness. It is processed by sheet molding. It can be molded at temperatures in the range of 260-310°F, with 280°F suggested as a starting point. Quantum QC® 8700 has a shelf life of 2 months.

Quantum QC® 8560 by LyondellBasell is a vinyl ester hybrid composite, reinforced with 60% w/w E-glass fiber. It possesses fatigue resistance, high stiffness and high strength. It is processed by sheet molding. It can be molded at temperatures in the range of 260-310°F, with 280°F suggested as a starting point. Its cure time depends on molding temperature and part thickness. Quantum QC® 8560 has a shelf life of 2 months.

SWANCOR® 980 by Swancor is an elastomer modified epoxy vinyl ester resin. Exhibits high elongation, high toughness and high impact strength. SWANCOR® 980 is suitable for non-critical corrosive applications.

MFE® 707A by Sino Polymer is a flame retardant, brominated bisphenol-A epoxy vinyl ester resin. Provides good toughness & excellent acid-, alkali-, bleach-, organic compound-, corrosion- and chemical resistance. Can be processed by filament winding, hand lay-up, spray-up, pultrusion and resin transfer molding. Suitable for handling mixtures of air and hot gases of potentially flammable liquids, building panels and flooring compounds where ignition-inhibiting properties are required. Recommended for FRP (fiber reinforced plastics) ductwork, stacks and stack liner applications. It was formerly known as MFE-7. Resists mechanical and chemical damage to enable use in various caustic environments such as sodium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide and alkaline hydrogen peroxide. MFE® 707A has a shelf life of 4 months at 25°C. Meets with ASTM E84 Flame Spread rating Class I (FSI=20).

Polyver-6045 by Polychem Resins is a flame retardant (FR) vinyl ester resin. It provides corrosion resistance with FR properties. Polyver-6045 is used in FR applications. It is approved with an ASTM E84 Class A certification.

Polyver-3645 by Polychem Resins is a bisphenol-A epoxy-based vinyl ester resin. It provides corrosion resistance to variety of chemicals. Polyver-3645 is used in boat building laminating applications.

Polyver-5046 by Polychem Resins is a novolac based epoxy vinyl ester resin. It provides osmosis and corrosion resistance. Polyver-5046 is used in FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurization), chemical tanks, and C/A (Corrosion/Anti-corrosion) plant applications.

Polyver-3045(HJC) by Polychem Resins is a bisphenol-A epoxy-based vinyl ester resin. It provides corrosion and osmosis resistance. Polyver-3045(HJC) is used in the RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) and V. Infusion (Vacuum Infusion) processes for boat building applications.
