Focus on five categories

At the Toray Group joint booth (Hall 6/E05), the Group will present its exhibits under the theme “Pioneering Change for the World” in commemoration of Toray’s 100th anniversary. The booth will feature application examples spanning from past achievements to future developments in the aerospace, defense, high‑performance automotive, and industrial sectors.

The exhibits will be structured into five categories: Sustainability, Mobility, Energy, Quality of Life, and New Products, showcasing products and technologies that contribute to each area. Within the Sustainability category, Toray will introduce its JEC Innovation Award winning initiative, related to circularity and recycling using its Cetex™ thermoplastic composite materials, as well as its JEC Innovation Award finalist - tennis racket incorporating bio‑circular carbon fiber.

As Toray marks the milestone of its 100th anniversary, we are pleased to present the latest innovations from across the Toray Group at JEC World 2026. This occasion provides an opportunity to reflect on our history as a global leader in the carbon fiber field, while reaffirming our commitment to advancing the future of advanced materials,” general manager of Torayca & Advanced Composite Division, Toray Industries, Inc.

Key exhibits

Toray Group will also showcase its latest portfolio of composite materials, with a focus on the following intermediate materials:

  1. Toray Cetex™ TC1005: A next‑generation thermoplastic polyetherimide (PEI) uni-directional tape designed for high-performance, value-optimized part manufacturing. It offers exceptional toughness along with the inherent fire, smoke and toxicity (FST) performance of PEI, making Cetex™ TC1005 ideal for aircraft interiors and other applications that demand stringent fire safety standards, including rail and industrial environments.

  2. Toray 4000 prepreg system: A next generation bismaleimide (BMI) prepreg engineered to provide superior damage tolerance, higher tensile properties, and improved resin flow characteristics compared to conventional BMI prepregs. The Toray 4000 prepreg system is well-suited for aerospace, defense, and space applications.

  3. ZeroPreg™ series: Prepregs that have obtained ISO 14067 certification.

  4. FR162V0 & DT220 epoxy systems: FR162V0 is a next‑generation halogen‑free flame‑retardant epoxy resin offering high flame resistance, excellent self‑extinguishing behavior, and low heat release. Classified UL‑94 V0 at 1 mm laminate thickness, and compliant with FAR 25.853 and EN45545‑2, FR162V0 is ideal for battery enclosures and aircraft interior applications requiring stringent fire safety standards (performance depends on laminate configuration).

DT220 is an advanced epoxy system engineered to deliver excellent thermo‑mechanical performance and high impact resistance. It ensures strong property retention at elevated temperatures making it well‑suited for structural components exposed to very high service temperatures.

In addition to the Toray Group joint booth, Zoltek Corporation, a Toray Group company specializing in large‑tow carbon fibers for industrial applications, and Engineering Technology Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of filament winding equipment, are scheduled to exhibit in Hall 5/H21.
