Teknor Apex B.V. forms JV with Shriram Polytech for advanced polymer compounds

Teknor Apex B.V., a subsidiary of Teknor Apex Company, has entered into a joint venture with Shriram Polytech Ltd., a subsidiary of DCM Shriram Ltd., which is engaged in PVC compounds in India. The joint venture will operate under the brand name PolyTek.

Leveraging India’s strategic position to enhance supply chain resilience

The companies state that the partnership is part of Teknor Apex’s strategy to expand its polymer compounds portfolio and develop global collaborations in growth sectors. It combines Shriram Polytech’s domestic manufacturing presence in vinyl compounds with Teknor Apex’s formulation capabilities, with the stated aim of supplying specialty polymer solutions for a range of industrial applications.

 

The partners indicate that India’s position as a growing manufacturing and consumption hub offers opportunities for development in advanced polymer compounds. Through PolyTek, the joint venture is intended to use this positioning to strengthen supply chain resilience, improve access to material technologies, and support performance requirements across industries.
