PA, PBT and PPS grades from Envalior now distributed by ALBIS

Last update on May 14, 2026

Specifying high-performance polymers for demanding applications involves navigating a wide range of material families, performance thresholds, and application-specific constraints – alongside the practical requirements of batch size flexibility and color customization. An expanded distribution agreement now consolidates access to several established engineering polymer lines under a single technical partner.

ALBIS has extended its distribution agreement with Envalior to include additional DSM legacy materials: Xytron™ (PPS), Arnite® (PBT), and Akulon® (PA6/PA66). Arnite® and Akulon® are integrated into the Durethan®, Akulon®, and Pocan® product families. The extension broadens the range of high-performance polymer grades available through ALBIS across its existing distribution network.

Provides material selection support alongside technical expertise

For engineers and product developers working on application development or optimization, ALBIS provides material selection support alongside technical expertise in line with evolving industry requirements. The offering is complemented by flexible manufacturing capabilities under license, enabling customized solutions including specific color formulations and smaller batch sizes – addressing a practical constraint that standard distribution channels do not always accommodate.

At ALBIS, we continuously develop our portfolio with a clear focus on long-term customer requirements and application performance,” says Kirsten Brockmöller, business manager at ALBIS. “Combined with our technical expertise and flexible manufacturing capabilities, this enables us to deliver reliable, tailored solutions in dynamic market environments.

The distribution relationship between ALBIS and Envalior draws on a collaboration that traces back to the former material activities of Bayer and Lanxess, representing approximately 60 years of shared history. The extended agreement reflects the continuity of that partnership within the current Envalior portfolio structure.
