OQ showcases polymer solutions to support durability at PLASTINDIA 2026

Last update on Feb 6, 2026

OQ, the global energy investment group, is participating in PLASTINDIA 2026 as part of its long-term engagement with the Indian polymers and petrochemicals market. The Group’s presence reflects its focus on industrial cooperation and downstream growth, reinforcing Oman-India trade and investment ties. This follows the signing of a trade agreement between the two countries, creating new opportunities for trade, investment and industrial collaboration.

Offer high-impact strength, ESC resistance and UV stability

OQ is showcasing its expanded polymers offering in response to growing demand for durable materials globally. The rotomolding grades form part of OQ’s largest polyethylene and polypropylene portfolio to date. It comprises 17 application focused grades selected to support high demand uses across packaging, infrastructure, construction and durable goods.

Within this portfolio, OQ’s rotomolding solutions are designed for water tanks and industrial enclosures. Grades such as Luban™ LL-R3605UV provide high-impact strength, environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) and UV stability, supporting long service life and reliable production. These characteristics ensure that end products operate reliably under demanding climatic and working conditions common across India.

OQ continues to expand its rotomolding portfolio; a new hexene-based rotomolding grade will be launched in Q1 2026. It is designed for more demanding applications that require outstanding mechanical strength and ESCR.

Rotomolding is a critical technology for infrastructure applications where durability, consistency and long service life are essential,” said Abdul Rahman Al Tamtami, vice president Global Marketing at OQ. “By introducing our rotomolding portfolio to India, we are giving converters access to materials engineered for real operating conditions, whether that is UV exposure, buried installations or long-term mechanical stress, while maintaining stable and reliable processing.

Beyond rotomolding, OQ’s portfolio includes polypropylene and polyethylene grades used across packaging, storage solutions, pipes and durable consumer goods. The offering reflects an application focused approach shaped by customer needs.

Highlights progress of polymer-to-product manufacturing ecosystem

OQ will also highlight the progress of the Ladayn Programme, its polymer-to-product manufacturing ecosystem in Oman. The programme offers Indian converters opportunities to scale downstream production and access regional and international markets.
