Advanced materials for lighting, lightweight and sustainability
At this year’s exhibition, MOCOM will highlight its integrated portfolio across three key areas: Lighting, Sustainability as well as Lightweight and flame-retardant solutions.
Lighting
With its Alcom® lighting portfolio, MOCOM offers materials for precise lighting control, including Light Guiding (LG), Light Diffusion (LD) and Light Blocking (LB) solutions. These materials support advanced lighting concepts such as ambient light guides, combining functional performance with design flexibility – particularly in automotive applications.
Sustainability
The ECO products in the MOCOM portfolio include compounds based on recycled materials, sourced both globally and whenever possible locally in China. These solutions support circular economy strategies while maintaining consistent performance.
Lightweight and flame-retardant materials
High-performance compounds from MOCOM meet demanding safety and regulatory requirements and enable lightweight design. Carbon fiber reinforced materials such as Wic offer high stiffness, low density and contribute to reduced CO₂ emissions.
Infrared and surface solutions for functional design
In addition, MOCOM will present advanced materials that combine functional performance with high-quality surface design. The Alcom® LIR (Light Infrared) portfolio for example, produced in Changshu, enables high transmission in the near-infrared range while maintaining a deep black appearance in visible light.
According to MOCOM, this allows sensors and cameras to operate reliably behind surfaces while remaining visually integrated. Complementing this, MOCOM offers color effect and surface materials that enable glossy, matte metallic or pearlescent finishes without additional painting or metallization.
“Our ambition is to be a reliable partner – combining global expertise with local execution,” says Klaus-Simon Dröge, managing director Asia-Pacific at MOCOM. “We develop solutions close to our customers while ensuring they are scalable and available worldwide across Asia, Europe and the Americas.”
An international team of experts will be on-site to support technical discussions, application development and project implementation.
