Eastman increases prices for polyester, copolyester and cellulosic polymers
Last update on May 18, 2026
Sustained cost escalation in oil-derived raw materials, energy, and logistics is feeding through to polyester, copolyester and cellulosic polymer pricing. Manufacturers sourcing these materials from Eastman should factor updated pricing into project and procurement planning ahead of the June 1, 2026 effective date.

Renewable grades are subject to lower increase
Eastman has announced a price increase on polyester, copolyester, and cellulosic products, applicable to orders shipping on or after June 1, 2026, or as contracts allow.
The amount of the increase is as follows:
Polyester and copolyester products will increase USD 0.30 per kilogram or USD 0.14 per pound, for a cumulative 2026 increase of USD 0.55 per kilogram.
Certain copolyesters subject to the increase announced April 2nd, will increase an additional USD 0.05, for a cumulative 2026 increase of USD 0.55 per kilogram.
Cellulose ester polymers will increase USD 0.25 per kilogram
Eastman's Renew-content grades utilize recycled feedstocks that, according to Eastman, are not subject to the same cost escalation dynamics as oil-derived inputs. These grades will be subject to a proportionally lower increase relative to their Renew content. As a reference point, Renew 50 products will increase USD 0.15 per kilogram (USD 0.07 per pound) – roughly half the standard increase, reflecting the recycled feedstock proportion.
Eastman has indicated it will continue to monitor the pricing environment and adjust as conditions evolve.
