Eastman increases polyester and copolyester prices
Last update on Mar 16, 2026
Due to extreme cost escalation of oil derived raw materials, energy and related logistics, Eastman is announcing a price increase on polyester and copolyester products effective April 1, 2026, or as contracts allow. This announcement is applicable to all polyester and copolyester products including but not limited to Tritan™, Cristal™, Embrace™, Eastar™, and Spectar™ copolyesters.
Products with recycled feedstock subject to lower increase
The amount of the increase is USD 0.25 per kilogram or USD 0.11 per pound, adjusted to local currencies as applicable.
Renew content of these products utilize recycled feedstocks that are not subject to the same cost escalation impacts. As such, Renew containing grades will be subject to a lower increase, proportional to the Renew content. For example, 50% Renew products will increase USD 0.13 per kilogram or USD 0.06 per pound, adjusted to local currencies as applicable.
Eastman will continue to monitor the volatile environment and adjust pricing monthly. After raw materials recede, prices will be adjusted downward. If they continue to escalate further, additional increases may become necessary.
Orders shipping prior to April 1, 2026, will be invoiced at the current price. Orders shipping on or after April 1, 2026, will be invoiced at the new pricing referenced above.
