DOMO Engineered Materials and RadiciGroup merge to form compounding platform

Last update on May 13, 2026

A consolidation with direct implications for the engineering plastics supply landscape has reached its final stage. DOMO Engineered Materials has confirmed the completed transaction transferring its Engineered Materials division to an affiliate of Lone Star Funds.

It is the same transaction through which Lone Star simultaneously acquired RadiciGroup's High Performance Polymers and Specialty Chemicals businesses. The two acquisitions have been structured to form a single combined platform, representing a significant shift in the competitive configuration of the global polyamide and engineered materials market.

To serve a diversified range of end markets

The combined entity will serve end markets spanning automotive, electrical and electronics, construction, consumer, and industrial applications. According to the announcement, the platform is designed to benefit from increased scale, broader geographic reach, and expanded resources directed toward innovation and sustainability.

For material seekers and procurement teams currently working with either DOMO or RadiciGroup grades, the consolidation brings together two technically complementary businesses under unified ownership – with stated intent to leverage the combined industrial know-how and customer relationships of both organizations.

On the continuity question most relevant to existing customers, the announcement is explicit: the TECHNYL® brand will be maintained within the new organization, and customer-facing teams and expertise are expected to remain in place.

Jochen Fabritius, appointed chief executive officer of the combined platform, states, "I want to personally reassure our customers, partners, and employees that continuity and stability are at the very heart of our priorities. Customers will continue to work with the same teams, the same experts, and the same TECHNYL® solutions, within an organization clearly focused on long-term sustainability and strong, trusted partnerships." Fabritius brings more than 25 years of experience in the chemicals and industrial goods sector.
