Avient Corporation, an innovator of materials solutions, unveils its latest portfolio of polymer solutions at Plastex Egypt, the largest plastics and rubber exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa, taking place January 9–12 in Cairo.

Key exhibits
Avient will feature sustainable materials science solutions developed for the following industries:
Agriculture: Biopolymers and biocolorants for biodegradable and compostable mulch films, as well as for packaging and consumer goods.
Packaging: Solutions that can enhance the quality of post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials in packaging, helping customers meet European Union goals to incorporate increased recycled plastic content without compromising quality or performance. Additionally, Avient will showcase solutions that can make black and dark packaging detectable and sortable to provide final products that are both visually appealing and durable while maximizing the use of recycled materials.
Specialty fibers: High-quality color and functional masterbatches developed for synthetic fibers that are used in carpets, home décor, apparel, and technical textiles. Latest developments include non-fluorine stain-resistant solutions and deep black concentrates for intense jetness in polyester and polyamide fibers.
Building & construction: Solutions to help improve the performance, durability, and sustainability of materials in this sector. This includes customizable colorants and additives to enhance resistance to ultraviolet light and harsh weather conditions, such as temperature and moisture, while increasing ease of processing. These solutions can help products–like pipes, profiles, and roofing materials–perform well while reducing environmental impact through lightweighting, waste reduction, and lower energy consumption.
