Designed for durability, lightweight performance and sustainability
At the exhibition, Arkema is presenting specialty material solutions across sectors including new mobility, sports and leisure, consumer electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, water treatment, and polymer production. According to the company, these materials are designed to offer durability, lightweight performance, bio-based content, recyclability, and processing efficiency to address evolving industry requirements.
“We believe that maximizing the value of material innovation requires deep co-creation with our customers. Whether in sustainable lifestyles, mobility, or advanced manufacturing, we aim to engage early on in our customers’ application development processes in order to work together and refine solutions around real needs. Our goal is to leverage our continuously strengthening local supply and service capabilities to support customers to efficiently transform innovative ideas into market-ready outcomes,” Michael ZHU, Greater China general manager, High Performance Polymers of Arkema.
Materials for everyday consumer scenarios
Arkema is displaying materials used in applications such as optical eyewear, sports footwear and equipment, textiles, wearable devices, AR/VR glasses, medical devices, and components in new energy vehicles, reflecting the use of high-performance polymers in consumer-facing and mobility-related products.
The company’s Advanced Bio-based Circular (ABC) materials include Rilsan® PA11, Pebax® thermoplastic elastomers, and Rilsan® Clear transparent polyamides. Arkema states that these materials combine properties such as durability, low weight, flexibility, comfort, and chemical resistance, and are used in applications linked to sports, leisure, and lower-carbon mobility.
Rilsan® PA11 is described by the company as being derived entirely from castor beans, recyclable, and associated with a 80% lower carbon footprint compared to petroleum-based materials.
Rilsan® Clear transparent polyamides are presented as BPA-free materials with low weight, transparency, impact resistance, and chemical resistance, targeting applications in food contact, appliances, electronics, eyewear, medical, and industrial uses.

Additive solutions for improved end-product quality
Arkema is also presenting additive solutions used in polymer production, where processing efficiency and stability influence end-product quality. Among them are:
Luperox® organic peroxides, developed since 1953, are used across packaging, construction, automotive, and new energy applications, supported by the company’s technical expertise.
Tippox™ 2028 is presented as a stabilization solution to address thermal stability challenges in PMMA processing. According to Arkema, it enables higher processing temperatures and output while reducing defects and VOC emissions, contributing to improved production efficiency and cost optimization.
Expansion of local production capacities
Arkema reports ongoing investments to expand its production and supply network in Asia:
A new production unit for Rilsan® Clear transparent polyamide in Singapore has become operational, which the company says makes it the largest producer of transparent polyamides in Asia.
An expansion of the Kynar® PVDF plant in Changshu has been announced and is expected to improve local supply reliability by 2028.
The expansion of the Luperox® organic peroxide facility in Changshu was completed in March 2025, aimed at supporting demand for specialty materials in China and across Asia.
