Dr. Elodie Metral
Introducing our latest advanced active ingredient mainly obtained from food waste peels of citrus fruits. Produced from award winning manufacturer, Hayashibara received a silver rating in the Sustainability assessment from EcoVadis in 2020.
NAGASE will take you through the journey of how our biotechnology improves nature’s resources and upgrading them into multifunctional ingredients for the cosmetic field.
Naringin is a natural polyphenol found in citrus fruits with strong antioxidant activity and valuable biological actions. However, due to its low water solubility, this perfect candidate for anti-ageing solutions has been set aside. The NAGASE group company Hayashibara is recognized for its sustainable effects, advancing Naringin using its proprietary enzyme technology. The resulting glycosylated naringin is natural and water-soluble. By increasing the synthesis of elastin fibers components and enhancing elastin fibers formation, it efficiently boosts the skin firmness and elasticity.
