Bentonite. Acts as a thickening agent. Exhibits properties such as anti-sediment, anti-sagging, easy dispersion and high thixotropy. It can be used in low to medium and some high polar systems. With only a small amount of activator and fast shearing, it can be dispersed. To increase its properties of dispersion and thickening, it needs fast shearing and polar additive while dispersing. Used in cosmetics formulations.
