BELSIL® RG 100

Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone/Vinyltrimethylsiloxysilicate Crosspolymer. BELSIL® RG 100 by Wacker acts as a thickener. It is a non-emulsifying elastomer gel that is supplied as a 20% active solution in cyclopentasiloxane. It is an organosiloxane polymer. It offers non-tacky films which improves transfer- and water resistance of cosmetic formulations.

• It can be used to thicken the oil phase of emulsions or anhydrous cosmetic formulations.
• It is easier to apply by adding lubricity.
• It shows easy distribution on the skin and gives nice, non-greasy, smooth and silky skin feel with substantive hydrophobic film forming properties.
• It adds cushiony feel to powder formulations.
• It undergoes thinning under shear stress and allows easy incorporation of cosmetic ingredients like pigments.
