FERROXIDE® 78P

Supplied byVenator Materials- Last Updated on Apr 28, 2025

High-purify precipitated black iron oxide. It is produced from specially selected raw materials under very light process and quality control procedures. Precipitation creates a larger, more uniform, softer, less agglomerated primary particle for increased tint strength, cleaner and more saturated colors, improved rheology as well as ease of dispersion with less abrasion on equipment. It is color-stable in processing temperatures below 80°C (176°F). It complies with FDA 21CFR standards covering use in food contact articles and European Commission Directive 2008/128/EC Section E172 for iron oxides as well as hydroxides. All Ferroxide@ colors are manufactured under strict QC and environmental controls for reliable and consistent quality, stable under exposure to sunlight, UV radiation and are alkali, chemical as well as weather resistant.
