VEEGUM® K

Supplied byVanderbilt Minerals- Last Updated on Aug 5, 2021

Magnesium Aluminum Silicate. VEEGUM® K by Vanderbilt Minerals is a highly purified smectite clay suspension stabilizer, emulsion optimizer and rheology modifier. It provides good suspension at low viscosity while having low acid demand, high electrolyte and acid compatibility. It reduces the slippery or sticky feel of gums and polymers while offering a silky, tack-free feel in topical preparations. It is synergistic with common thickeners such as VANZAN® xanthan gum and CMC. These combinations will give greater thickening, stabilizing and suspending properties than those developed by the individual components of the mixture. VEEGUM® K is well suited for hair care formulas containing conditioning agents.
