VEEGUM® HS

Magnesium Aluminum Silicate. VEEGUM® HS by Vanderbilt Minerals is purified bentonite NF. It is a highly purified smectite clay suspension stabilizer, emulsion optimizer and rheology modifier. It reduces the slippery or sticky feel of gums and polymers while providing a silky, tack-free feel in topical preparations. It is synergistic with common thickeners such as VANZAN® xanthan gum and CMC. It provides maximum electrolyte stability and minimum acid demand. Its relatively low viscosity contribution allows it to be used at levels high enough to enhance skin cleansing. VEEGUM® HS is used in hair care formulas containing conditioning agents and facemasks.
