Carbomer. Uni-Carbomer® 971P(USP&EP&CP) by Uniproma Chemical is a lightly crosslinked polymer with long rheology, resulting in a honey-like flow in semisolid formulations.
- It offers more efficient drug release control than Uni-Carbomer 974P (USP/EP/CP) due to its lower crosslinking and three-dimensional gel structure, which enhances resistance to diffusion and erosion.
- It can be used to formulate low viscosity lotions, gels and liquids with good clarity.
- It is also used in semisolids, solutions and suspensions products.
- Uni-Carbomer® 971P(USP&EP&CP) can provide emulsion stabilization of lotions.
- It is used in oral and mucosal contact applications, including extended or controlled release tablets, oral liquids and bioadhesive formulations.
- It has a shelf life of 24 months.
